I have been listening to a few podcasts lately, using them as therapy, an escape, or just a good dose of nostalgia. So, I thought I would share! These 3 podcasts are the ones I have really been gravitating towards over the past few months. They all serve different purposes in my life while creating a balance that works well. I hope you give them a try! I listen to my podcasts on Spotify, but all of these are also available on Apple Music or wherever you get your podcasts! #inutitivelife #podcasts #withmycoffee #OTH #realpod #dailyaffirmations #thinkingpositively #nostalgia #starttoday
Drama Queens; Bethany Joy Lenz, Hilarie Burton Morgan and Sophia Bush - This podcast is a big ball of nostalgia and I absolutely love it! I listen to it on Monday mornings, it is the best way to start my week! The main three girls from One Tree Hill (Bethany Joy Lenz, Hilarie Burton Morgan and Sophia Bush) are rewatching the series that made them famous together and discussing it. Reliving the show that defined part of my time in high school has been so much fun! Hillary, Sophia, and Joy sit down every week and rewatch the show they made 20+ years ago. As someone who has watched the show from beginning to end many times, I am thoroughly enjoying listening to them discuss their time on the show and what was going on in their lives in the early 2000s as well. They have also had many of their fellow OTH costars on the show, which I love because as a fan, you get to hear the different characters you loved (or hated) point of views in a different light. If you were ever a fan of One Tree Hill, I recommend watching this show again and listening to this podcast to hear all of the different perspectives of the actors and actresses of the show; how they felt about the situations they endured on set, their friendships through the time of the show, and how they feel now about watching their work as adults. @dramaqueensoth
Real Pod; Victoria Garrick - Where do I even begin?! Victoria Garrick is an amazing human being and everyone should know who she is! She is a former D1 athlete who is recovering from an eating disorder and has devoted her time post-college to helping young women find peace within their bodies and get away from societal expectations. I love Victoria so much. She is so real and genuine in her podcasts and on all of her platforms. I am obsessed with her and her message (now with her engagement...waiting to see wedding plans!!!) She brings a new perspective on her podcast, especially with her guests, on various topics that affect all women (and men in some cases) in their early 20s. Whether you have had problems with food, body image, insecurity, or anything else Vic gives such a refreshing view on all the subjects that can cause insecurity, she brings a joy to life that is so refreshing! Check out a new episode every Wednesday! @realpod
Think Positive: Daily Affirmations; Dachia Arritola - What a way to start your day! In January, my dad brought this podcast to my attention. I started listening to it first thing every day the moment he told me about it. It is a series of daily positive affirmations. Each episode is structured the same way: the affirmation, a question to ask yourself throughout the day, and then a quote to uplift you. The creator suggests to write the affirmation down (1-5 times) as well as say the affirmation five times in order to affirm it into your day. These episodes are only about a minute or two and are a great way to start your day off right and in the right mindset. 10/10 recommend! @thinkpositive:dailyaffirmations
